On November 9, Bluemont Station Brewery & Winery transforms into a dessert wonderland with tastings, competitions, live demos, and sweet surprises for all ages. Cakechella is more than just a festival—it’s a feel-good, flavor-packed experience. Now, we’re calling on you—the creators, bakers, and confectionery pros—to help us bring the magic to life. Apply below to showcase your talents, connect with new fans, and gain visibility (and perhaps pre-orders) just before the holidays! We're inviting up to 50 bakers and dessert creators to share their best sweet treats with hundreds of dessert lovers. Whether you specialize in cakes, cookies, macarons, or other dessert delights—we’d love to have you join us.
Date: Sunday, November 9, 2025
Event Time: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: Bluemont Station Brewery & Winery, Bluemont, VA
Additional Vendor Benefits:
-
Pre-Holiday Exposure: Position your business in front of eager customers just before the busiest—and most profitable—season of the year for bakers. Use this opportunity to showcase, sample, and sell your bestsellers while handing out business cards, flyers, and other marketing materials to drive future orders.
-
Exclusive Vendor Q&A Session: Gain valuable insights during our vendor-only Q&A, hosted by the Cakechella committee. Plus, Sugar Strategist will share actionable tips to help you boost visibility, attract customers, and maximize your sales during the event.
-
Online Exposure & Additional Visibility: Your business name and website link will be featured on the official Cakechella website, so guests can preview vendors before the event and easily find you afterward—helping turn event buzz into long-term business.
-
Social Media Spotlights: We’ll be featuring vendor shoutouts across our social media platforms. The earlier you commit, the more visibility your brand will receive leading up to the big day—from website visits to Instagram scrolls.
Vendor Selection Details:
All vendor applications will be reviewed by the Cakechella Committee to determine eligibility and fit for the event. Approval will be based on factors such as product quality, presentation, relevance to the event theme, and overall uniqueness. We aim to create a well-rounded and diverse selection of offerings for our attendees, so space may be limited for vendors with similar products. To assist in the review process, product samples will be required after the initial application is submitted.
Vendor Requirements:
-
Provide 100 product tastings (valued at $2 each) for attendees. Paying guests will redeem tickets for these tastings. Each sample should resemble a finished product—such as a mini cupcake or cookie—not a cut-up portion of a larger dessert, unless it is thoughtfully and professionally presented.
-
You may sell full-sized products, baked goods, merch, or gift boxes during the event.
-
You must be set up and ready by 12:30 PM on event day.
-
Bring your own signage, and any display materials.
-
Health/safety standards must be followed (e.g. proper food handling, labeling allergens).
Vendor Fee & Application Deadlines:
-
$50 for applications received by 7/31/25
-
$100 for applications received between 8/1/25 - 8/21/25
-
$150 for applications received between 8/22/25 - 9/30/25 (if spots remain available)
The Cakechella committee reviews vendor applications on a weekly basis. Approved vendors will be notified within 7 days of applying and will receive an invoice upon acceptance. Vendor commitments will be reviewed and approved on a first-come, first-served basis, so availability is not guaranteed through September. Payment must be submitted within 7 days of invoicing to secure the spot; otherwise, the space will be released to another vendor.
Additional FAQs:
Do I need a business license or insurance?
Yes, all vendors are required to show proof of a business license and liability insurance. You’ll be asked about this in the application process.
Is electricity or refrigeration available?
We have limited electricity access. If you require refrigeration or power, please note this in your application.
Will I be able to sell out of a truck or trailer?
Please let us know during registration. Spaces for trucks/trailers may be limited and subject to local permitting.
What’s the expected foot traffic?
We’re anticipating strong attendance throughout the day, based on current ticket sales and data from past events. In addition to pre-registered guests, the venue will be open to the public as usual, giving walk-in visitors the opportunity to purchase tickets at the door and join the festivities.
Can I bring additional team members?
Yes, but all helpers must be registered in advance for security and planning purposes.
