Meet Monica, The Sugar Strategist
With a love for all things sweet and a passion for entrepreneurship, Monica embarked on an extraordinary journey in the dessert industry starting with new product development for an international manufacturer. Her story is one of determination, creativity, and the joy of building a delectable empire.

It began in the fast-paced realm of the foodservice industry, where she was the innovative mastermind behind creations in the cookies, cakes, and muffins categories. From developing new products to contributing to captivating marketing campaigns, she immersed herself in every aspect of the dessert world. It was then that a pivotal moment changed everything - she was crafting a remarkable chocolate cake for the market and her creativity in the chocolate space was truly ignited....and so it began.

In 2008, driven by her entrepreneurial spirit and support from her family, Monica fearlessly founded Sweet Signatures. Unlike most, she invested in an extensive ecommerce website and began her journey to success. Armed with talent, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to quality, Sweet Signatures quickly soared to six-figure sales within just a few short years.

Recognizing the boundless potential of her endeavor, Monica invited her family to join in the next chapter, taking on bigger challenges and risking more than ever. Together, they embarked on an audacious project, constructing an incredible storefront. The photo was taken the day she got the keys to her space.

In 2015, the doors opened to a 3200-square-foot gem - a dream come true! Designed by Monica from front to back, including everything from the light fixtures to the equipment, the storefront boasted a charming café section, a temperature and humidity-controlled room with a customer viewing window, a bakery kitchen, and a vast warehouse complete with offices. The vision had come to life—a haven for dessert enthusiasts and a hub of culinary excellence.

Fueled by her love for business and marketing, Monica crafted a master plan to create something truly extraordinary, with a plan in mind to sell within 10 years. As she witnessed exponential growth in sales year after year, with 19 years in the industry, she and her team made the bold decision to pass the baton, and Sweet Signatures was sold to another family owned and operated team in Oregon.

Undeniably grateful for her devoted tribe, Monica acknowledges the unwavering support that made her journey possible. Driven by a profound desire to empower fellow entrepreneurs, she now embraces a new chapter dedicated to sharing wisdom, guiding others, and assisting in the realization of sweet dreams. The Sugar Strategist was born.
